טרכסיד

טְרַכְסִידm. (a comp. of טֶרֶךְ a. סִיד) binding cement. Tosef.Sot.XV, 9 if one put sand in the lime, הרי זה ט׳ ואסור ed. (ed. Zuck. טרכיו סיד הוא, Var. טַרְכֵי סיד) it is cement and therefore forbidden; B. Bath.60b הרי זה ט׳ (Ms. O. טַרְכְּסָאוֹ the binding of it (the lime), cmp. טְוַקְסִין); Sabb.80b (Ms. M. תר׳). (Treat. Smaḥ. VIII טרכסי׳, in a corrupt passage, prob. to be read: כרכים.
